Subject: RE: 3pt snowblowers

I have a 8' farm king on a MFD 8270R. I like to just use 2wd when blowing, only using the MFD when icy or when getting into trouble/stuck. If the snow is really deep on the first pass, I like to lift the blower up perhaps 6 inches while blowing, this reduces the load on the blower and the tractor, in 2wd, when driving on the 6" of loose snow, will spin the tires reducing reverse ground speed. I run the rpm's about 1500. On subsequent passes, depending on how seep the snow is, I might only take 4-6' of cut.
