| I don't think back in the day many farmers had more then 2 horses around here, dad always kind of marveled at the number and quality of the horses many of the Amish farm with. Grandpa bought a new MH 81 after the war, dad started farming in I think 1960, might have done a little custom work before that with a MH 30, still have both of those in the family, then in the early 60's bought a MH 44 special with a 4 bottom mounted plow. It came out of the south, probably Mississippi, it was about 7 years old as I remember being told and the drawbar had been welded up already by that time! | |
