Mount Vernon, WA | I didn't mean to say that the dope created the initial problem. What I meant was that the dope turned a $200 repair into a $10,000 repair because "parts darts" didn't cure the problem, so he put a reman transmission in it instead.
Trust me, I've performed many clean up operations over the years after a supposed "technician" either gave up or made the problem even worse. A little knowledge of how a system works, along with systematic troubleshooting techniques goes a long ways. Most guys out there are too intellectually lazy though to do that, so they take the easy way out and blame the component instead.
