Subject: RE: Question foe Maine farmer

coast of Maine
Chuck,This year we have not passed peak here yet.Usually its near toast by now for maples. The colors on some trees are very dull as we have had so much moisture and such low sun the leaves got fungus.First time ever. There are tons of places to visit that are quiet here especially in the fall as tourism is less.Went to Popham Beach on the way back from Boston today,,maybe a dozen people on a mile of beach.sat on driftwood out of the wind and it was super and fall colors on the peninsulas also.Seals, seabirds, couple sail boats thats it.Found a great little restaurant with the best crab rolls and less than 10 people in there including the help.I would say mid Sept north Oct 7th south.Nov 1,,,the leaves are gone and it snows some usually.Let me know ahead of time ,easy to find us at Beths. Here is the restaurant,,I m a crab roll snob and I told the owner waitress she had the best.
