Likely can be done. We installed one several years ago. Turned our dry house into a near greenhouse in less than 24 hours! Haha. Got it adjusted and Mai rains around 30% now. I like it just enough to keep the static electricity down.
Ours is hooked into a water line with a quarter inch live so it never needs filled.
