The hydraulics aren't as good as a 20 series tractor.

Does it have the left hand reverser? That would be a must for loader work, and not all of them had it.

I have a 6415. Lots of power, comfortable. Hydraulics are crap. They gave problems from the start ($10000 warranty work) and are still slow.3 pt hitch has never worked right. Typical Deere; good engine & transmission & cab, poor hydraulics. Check hydraulic lines under back of cab. Mine were rubbing and blew out at 2500 hrs. EXPENSIVE to replace.

Have a 6715 with around 5000 hrs on it yeah they only have a 17 GPM hydraulic pump which isn't as big as say a 7410-20 but they will get the job done. Only a few problems with mine the fuel lines leaked but they use the same lines on the 10-20's as well and the cab fan and heater is up in the cab like on the 30-55 series and had a few hose clamps come loose up there and it was raining antifreeze in side the cab.I have a 673 loader on mine and it's a good fit

We almost bought a 15 a few years back, but decided against it as we wanted a tractor capsble of being a backup tractor for bean vacuum planter. We had to get a 20 series at that time to get closed center hydraulics. That may or may not be important depending on your application. I believe they had 640 loaders on them at that time, may have went to 673 later.

Exdairy, is your 6715 2wd, or mfwd? We have one that needs a loader, I thought a 673 would fit but my dealer says 740 only. Just curious. TIA J

We have 2, 1 with the synchro transmission and one with the power quad with left hand reverser. Both are open station and for what they are we like them. Pull a 5 bottom switch plow, with one and widen one out for tobacco. No heavy hydraulic work with either but good chore tractors.
