Faunsdale, AL | The only thing that you’re greasing that might possibly make a click is the splines on the primary countershaft where it plugs into the hollow cross-wise shaft of that gearbox just behind the cab inside the header drive clutch.
I posted about trying to see if there was backlash in the splines by rotating the driveshaft between engine gear case and that gearbox but you’ll get the normal gear clearance in that box added to any slack you have in those splines. It will be hard to tell what you have where without removing any belt tension from header drive AND the two belts on the right side
As you saw when you removed the header drive pulley and electric clutch, the grease comes out a hole in the counter shaft into the bushings of the header drive pulley with the excess making its way along the splines to squirt out in a space to the right of the gearbox between rear of the cab, top of separator housing and front slope of bottom of clean grain hopper.
