My Grandpa has a 318. We repowered it with a 23HP Briggs and Stratton Vanguard from small engine warehouse. It worked good and everything was pretty much bolt or plug in for the conversion.
I changed the bearings on the mower deck about 2 years ago. I got them from Deere with no problem.
