The names can be confusing. I have used timing relays for things like an auger run empty before turning off. Or a momentary switch to have lights stay on in a building for a few minutes to open door or get something.
The relays I used for those was called on delay. That meant stay on after switch was turned off. I would buy a multi function so as not to have the description be wrong as to what a person thinks should be.
