Subject: RE: Great Plains drill active hydraulic down pressure

NW Oklahoma

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong but, I believe a 4440 like my 4450 just moves hydraulic oil through the remote when it is called for. Pressure compensating flow I believe they call it. That being said, I have never seen that the oil gets hot when pulling my drill. I use the same tractor pulling a hydraulic driven sprayer pump and it doesn't get hot then either. I do slow the flow down with sprayer just for pump pressure purposes. Run it wide open with the drill. Have had this drill for 7 or 8 years now, doing 700-900 acres a year.
