Dad wore out two 2-105 and we never had to fix the over under. It’s nice transmission great for digging spuds it had lots of gears. A lot IH you see sell advertise new TA. Not sure about MF.

I think transmissions are just a clutch pack. Pretty simple. Not sure but I assume just linkage that engages them.

We had more problems with pto clutches not being heavy enough and Perkins problems. Also alternators and water pumps. PTO Clutch only good for 60hp on 540 on our 2-105. It says right of tractor somewhere. If I where buying one it be the powerhouse models they made at the last with Cummins motor. Always wanted White 125 with 5.9 Cummins. We should have repowered 2-105 with 5.9 but rebuilt them instead and they didn’t last long. That being said we did get 7000 pto hrs out of them on two motors.
