Central Illinois - west of Peoria | I agree , we are able to set our disk level and shallow and does a excellent job in standing stalks or a little deeper for spring tillage in bean stubble . Can’t tell any difference in our field or neighbors field that runs a VT. We rented a VT once and I thought it did a great job in the spring until I noticed the weeds popping back up 2 days later. Until anyone can prove that a VT will improve my yields , I’ll stick with my disk . ( mainly use it on corn stalks in the fall to kill winter annuals and plant beans right into the corn stubble come spring ). |
