Subject: RE: Most Produced Self Propelled John Deere Combine Question

NorthWest Mississippi
Good question. We started out with a Massey 410.12 ft.header.Our new combine steering wheels/tires are bigger than the drive wheels were on the 410 Massey.Header is 12R30 corn or 35 ft Draper for other grains.Run 5-6 mph now, maybe 3 mph back then.Shot a lot of rabbits off those old 410s and 510s though.Good old days.So let’s see 12 ft. Vs 35 ft,3 mph vs 5 mph.Our new machine does what 5-6x of the old ones would do.I sure wish grain was 5-6 times more per bushel than it was back then.
