northeastern Ohio | Interesting video. My dad bought a G900 when I was about 5, so I don't remember much about it. The starter failed about 6 months after Dad bought it and the dealer could not get a new one for several months. Dad was not happy about the wait and traded it off on a JD 4430. My cousin still has the 4430 but I haven't seen a working MM in this area in at least 15 years.
So my question: In the video, MM seemed very confident that the slow turning MM engine would outlast all the competitors. Did they really need less overhauls? Or was there another part of the tractor (transmission, rear end, hydraulics, ect) that didn't last? | |
