custar ohio | No comparison between the machines here but we demoed a 31 foot 475 this fall.
I was looking for something between a 335 Barracuda and an 875 ripper on bean ground going to corn for a one trip tillage pass in heavy bean residue.
We ran 135 acres of very variable soils from heavy wet clay to light sand (on purpose). Glad we did.
My son ran it at 9 mph with a 580 Quad and it brought it to it's knees.
He had to get out to make adjustments every time he hit a different soil type. Wanted to draft terribly every time. Can't make the proper adjustments on the fly. Got to have a very competent operator to make it work. It looks great but we sent it on its way. Too pricey and too hard to operate correctly. | |
