Melancthon, Ontario | Finally got my 1070 tore down, it was stalling with a crunch when put in 4th range. Now that its in pieces, I can see I need to do a complete transmission rebuild (every bearing in it is noisy, lots of gears starting to get chewed up, some mystery metal bits in the bottom). Much to my surprise, my local Case IH dealer has been unable to come up with any new parts; a few seals, a bearing or two, that's about it. They want to sell me scrap yard stuff, and I want new parts. First transmission lasted 7500 hours; if I do this right I'll never tear it apart again. (although it should be easier the second time! haha)
Anyone know where to buy new gears, shafts and bearings?
Anyone in Ontario who can rebuild the powershift pack if I bring it to them?
