I have been using synthetic 75-90 for the past 15 years. I see little to no metal on the plug at a 1000 hour drain interval. I saw much more metal when I used to use 80-90 and drained at 500 hours. If you are leaning towards 85-140, I would encourage you to use 80-140 synthetic instead. Those axles are $$$ to work on.
