Cambridge, southwestern Nebraska | I've always carried enough life insurance to cover debts and have a little extra for the wife to be able to stay home with the kids when they were younger and at home. I figured if the land was paid for and rented out and all machinery is sold and etc that that would provide a reasonable income. Now, I still have 10 years remaining on a fixed term insurance to cover most debt...the premium is cheap...and a whole life policy that will keep me covered until 120 years. The whole life policy will cover estate taxes and any other expenses. That one is a little more expensive but worth it to us in the long run.
We have had some insurance on my wife but really just enough to be able to hire a help in case I would have had to take care of the kids in her absense. |
