Subject: Re: grain auger horse power

southern Illinois
I left 6 inches of auger flighting stickingout under the pile so i wouldnt over load it and put the regular auger end with hitch back on with screen on it. the auger flighting is worn so i hope it wont over load itself.
In the past we unloaded with short auger and bin sweep, thought this would help on the first half of the unloading. i am wanting to use electric or small gas engine. I have a 6 to 1 geared honda 5.5 that i thought might turn it slow but just thought some one might have a 40 footer running and could tell me what size moter they had.
thanks
