I would go with a diesel and my preference is with the Cummins diesel in the Dodge pickup. It has the best low end and idle torque production of all the current diesel pickups which in my opinion works best in pulling a load at idle or near rpm in 1st or 2nd gear. I think the Cummins is probably the best built and designed of the 3 out there.
Gas or Diesel???
