I would not agree with your drivers statement. We've run B10 through Iowa winters with NO problems. We normally blend B10 and No. 1 at 75/25, so we're probably at a B7.5 blend.

By mistake, I forgot to run the tank down on a smaller chore tractor before winter, so out of curiousity and a sick willingness to change fuel filters at -10F, I decided to try it without additive. Not a problem.
