Manitoba | Has anyone ever done this? It's just a thought I had. My 94 946 is still a great tractor with 3900 hrs on it, but a power shift would be nice for a grain cart(dont have one yet) and for scraping. Also the mech. shift is terrible to shift. For seeding and other field work its not an issue because your often in the same gear all day. Because they're modular the actual swap would'nt be hard. How well did they stand up with this kind of HP? (may also have to turn up the HP on this tractor if I'm going to use it forever) How hard would it be to find a good one? I once rented an 836 with power shift and it was just a switch where you stepped up through all the gears, were they all that way? I know I should just trade up to a newer machine with a good PS, but my farm economy dictates I may running that tractor for a while. | |
