Bethany, MO		Ok. I was wondering about this. They're measuring the distance between Axle 1 and Axle 3 for bridge laws. If you go to Peterbilt and order a 280" wheelbase truck, #1 to #3 will be roughly 306". 280 + (52/2) = 306
