I dont ever strap hay and most around here dont.

Those look like 4 foot wide bales though. I put 5x6s and can get 14 on the bottom layer and 6 on the top. My trailer has the mega ramps and i can lock them up. So the hay is all wedged between the gooseneck and the ramps. 20 bales at 1700-1800lbs is more than enough weight.
