Just my experience with the mauling syndrome it is so inherited avoid keeping hers out of any cow that has that characteristic.
I never Had a cow get better , I keep exylamed and a dart gun around and separate the cow and calf till she cools her jets.
I think these cows were meant to be in wolf country
