Subject: OTA DVR's

mascoutah, IL
Going to cut the cord on Directv. $147 a month for the basic package plus dvr fees and hd fees has gotten out of hand. Was paying $115 less than a year ago which was still too much. Anyway I already have an antenna but would like to get a dvr so we can still record shows and also be able to pause,ff,rewind. Been looking at a Tablo that will do 4 tv's. We do not have the greatest internet and am worried we won't have enough to run it. We have 2 lines in now and one gets 10mbps while the other gets 5. reason for 2 is the wife works at home and has her own dedicated line during the day. Just looking for some ideas, wasn't sure if they made one I could hard wire to all the tv's so I wouldn't have to worry about hogging internet. I tried a free 7 day trial to directv now and was only able to run 1-2 tvs before buffering. Worried a dvr will have the same problems.
