I personally think farmers should be disappointed in Budlight paying almost 5.5 million dollars to portray that it is a bad thing if corn is used in their beer. i did not watch the superbowl to find out that corn in beer is supposely unhealthy or bad? Farmers spend enormous amounts of money in the checkoff promoting and lobbying for the sales of their product. Just yesterday Pete Coors explained to a group or meeting that Coors alone uses 20 million bushels of U.S. corn per year just in the their production of beer, I would say that is a pretty big deal.

Look at it this way, they paid nearly $5.5mil to PROMOTE the rice industry. There's 2 sides to every coin. There's plenty of rice farmers in Arkansas that are tickled pink to see those 4 ingredients listed on that nationwide commercial.

Corn is grown everywhere. 50% of the US rice production comes from Arkansas alone...
