North Central Illinois | You are correct. I guess we can argue all day long about whether it is right or wrong but I'm not sure how else it could be done. I know if farmers were in charge they would want to pay the CEO of a billion dollar company about $500,000 a year and they would believe they were being generous at that.
The other side of the coin is there are far too many corporations where management has built in golden parachutes that protect them very well even if they screw up and get fired. That isn't right. I have no issues with a CEO making millions but if he bankrupts the company and leaves shareholders left holding the bag he shouldn't get to walk away with a lifetime bonus. | |
