The Kofa wilderness area is east of there. We sometimes ride down there from the north which isn't far from where we stay. We usually trailer to the location saving about 20 miles of boring trail riding. When we make that run it's 50 miles down and 50 miles back. A lot of abandoned mines, and the Hovatter homestead is on our route. The run has pretty decent trail so you can make good time.
Saw our first tarantula down here today.
