Henderson, KY 42420 | I've had a sit/stand desk for years. If you are talking about the device that sits on top of an existing desk, I much prefer to have the entire desk raise/lower with the push of a button and I'd skip the crank up desks. The Varidesk that sits on top takes up a lot of room and having the entire desk go up and down gives you much more flexibility. Some things to think about if you go the 2 (or more) legs electric route: min. and max. height, lift capacity, and whether the 2 legs are connected with a lower horizontal brace. The brace may not be necessary depending on how much weight will be on the desk and how the legs attach to the top. Raise the desk to the approx. height it will be used and see how wobbly it is. I'd try to find a used one CL or FB marketplace.
Here's one I have for sale to give you an idea but it has a huge top: https://evansville.craigslist.org/fuo/d/henderson-electric-height-ad... | |
