between NW and NC Iowa | I heard a story on the radio several years ago, one those side stories the DJs do to take up time. There was this K-mart in the midwest and an employee found an envelope that was really thick and it was sealed, so the employee took the envelope to the customer service desk. The envelope sat at the customer service desk for over week before someone opened it to see if there was a way to get ahold of the owner. I think there was a business card or note with a phone number on it along with $10,000 CASH in the envelope. The owner had closed a bank account for a down payment on a house and hadn't told his wife yet that he lost the money. Needless to say he was more than over joyed that he got his money back. | |
