NE NEBRASKA | Lettered roads in NW Missouri remind me of my local county blacktop highways (maybe worst). Here the county blacktops rarely see any salt and are a sheet of ice until the sun can melt the roads.
Years ago I'd get a laugh out of Missouri highway bridges being one lane yield. I guess they had poor weight ratings and couldn't withstand two semis crossing at once. In Nebraska we have our wooden 3 ton bridges that rarely break. The wooden bridges with high steel sides seems to break all the time by over weight. | |
