.
Up at 4 AM when I discovered the boiler was out. Called the service man and rather than sit around the house and worry about it, since I had the tractor plugged in, I went out and moved snow for about an hour. It was only down to zero and didn't feel that bad. Around 10:30 I went back out and broke the cattle waterer balls free and gave cattle a couple of bales. They weren't out and not really bothered at all by the weather. One calf stuck his head in the feed and got stuck so I wrestled him out. Fortunately a fairly small one who didn't argue with me too much. Went back and scraped driveway for another half hour.

Since the sun is shining today, I see the cattle are bedded down and out in the open, it doesn't seem to bother them at all. I'll plug in the UTV, pour some feed in the back and give them a treat and get them water, but otherwise hope to stay out of the cold today.
