St. Joseph, Champaign County, IL | Base closed in 1993. Many of the buildings are still there, but some have been torn down as well. The HCOP is held on the grounds of the old base, farming the areas around the airstrips.
Edit: Fun Fact- Chanute is the Birthplace of the Tuskegee Airmen.
Fun Fact 2- White Hall, at Chanute, was the largest military center owned by the then War Department before the Pentagon was built in 1941. All 500,000 square feet of it.
