Chih, Mexico | Someone hacked or cloned my work email last year, this email I use for a lot of business including banking, with one bank I send them an email how much money I want them to wire to whatever account in the world I want to (Most money is sent to USA) and they send it and I have a day or two to “pay” them or come up with the money.
He called me because he received an email from me saying I wanted to send to send 50,000 USD to Bulgaria...
the amount wasn’t what tipped him off, it was bad spelling and that it was supposed to be sent to Bulgaria.
If he hadn’t watched out for it I would have had to come up with the money since it was sent from my email that we always did business with, from there on we agreed he would never send money again without me calling him to confirm wire transfer. | |
