North of London | While working in my woodlot I have been noticing a large tree that had apparently uprooted across the snow mobile trail this summer or fall.
So the trail people had come along and cut it to get it off the trail.
i could see the cut end and looked like a decent sized diameter so today I ventured over to have a look.
It was a nice cherry probably 40 foot of straight trunk to branches.
There is now maybe 10 foot log at the stump with a full 16 inch diameter at the cut end and 4 other chunks 4-5 feet long rolled aside and left to rot.
Still a small log to the branches.
Not worth as much now as it was before the snowmobile guys got at it.
