I’ve often wondered how we get our “gut feelings” about another person or situation. Do we get our cues from another sense that we are not aware of? Maybe, as this suggests, there are subtle physical cues in the world around us that our brains are interpreting that we are not even aware of. If so, if it could be quantified, it is a entirely possible that algorithms could be written that would have a higher than chance accuracy.
It would be a technology that could easily be abused in the wrong hands though. Predisposition to that lifestyle does not equal guilt.
I’ve always believed that all living wild animals (and some humans) have a very well developed “sixth sense” that keeps them alive. Say what you will.
