I am about an hour from there, plenty of produce grown in my area. Most of the citrus industry has moved further south, was a huge juice plant in Umatilla, now just smaller groves. Nearest large operation about hour south. 
Springs have manatees now, rather neat to see. Best attraction ( Mouse's House, all other attractions in Orlando  maybe an hour away ) is Kennedy Space Center about 90 minutes.Busy time of year for tourists.
