NE SD | We lost our 10 year old yellow lab to cancer about a month ago. So hard to watch her decline but at the end we made the decision to do her right and let her go peacefully with her dignity still intact. Her mother died of the same thing when she was 8 years old. The vet told us that if you have labs the chances of losing every 1 out of 2 is about 100%. The disease in inherent to labs but if caught early can be stopped with surgery. The saddest thing about having a 4 legged "family member" is that we know we will most likely lose them during our lifetime. | |
