Where do you sell the idiot cubes? Haven't seen a bale wagon in twenty plus years here. Big squares came and ended small bales. My dad always said if a small bale didn't weight 100+ it was to light.


There's a good market for three tie bales here. The feedstore (horse mostly) market like Brandon is baling for likes 90-100lb bales, but other people bale heavy like 130 lb for export. That's all I usually do. It was a very good year to have three bales for that market here. I bale some in big squares every year, and all my straw, but unless I plant more hay I'm sticking with the idiot bales for alfalfa.

The small bales really aren't that bad unless something goes wrong. Once the balewagon picks the bales up you handle 56 or 64 at a time, all by machine. Nothing is handled by hand, unlike two string bales.
