SW Iowa | Been twice back in early 2000’s. Awesome weather one year with only a sweatshirt needed, next year was Carhartts. There was a little greasy spoon place not far from there that everyone was eating breakfast at I’d definitely go to again. The bar in a old 2 story building down by the pens is pretty cool. Watched the indoor rodeo one afternoon.
The amount of money represented out there is amazing, Super Bowl of cattle shows. Went to several “Auctions”, food and beer served at no cost. Went with a local Angus bull producer, we just walked in to the sales. One was at the Coors Field. Watched a bull sell, buyer got 2/3 ownership but no possession for $170,000.
