Subject: Re: CORS w/ Deere system via trimble bridge

Thanks for all of the valuable input guys.
I had heard about the navcom deere relationship so I checked out their website and two of the systems there (SF2050 and SF2110) claim to be compatable with "GPS corrections in NCT (NavCom's ultra-compact binary format), RTCM, and CMR, permitting optimal correction source usage with seamless position output" http://www.navcomtech.com/Products/GPS/sf2050.cfm Under the applications tab "agriculture is in the list" so I wonder if these recievers would work with greenstar systems? Sounds logical but then maybe the compatability issue is in the displays?

So things change pretty fast in the precision agriculture world, realistically how long can deere hold out before they give in to letting their customers use the CORS networks with all deere components? I would like to be strip tilling this fall and I am not going to move a mobile base station around my 40+ fields and I am only half covered by the only deere RTK tower in the area so CORS seems to be my only option.
