Fair & equal aren't the same thing remember. I think it's silly when non farm heirs get or think they should get some land.
I'm not saying I like the idea, but it's really not my decision. It's my parents' mindset most likely because dividing the land is the easiest option. I'm trying to get other options to present to them that wouldn't over complicate the issue. I didn't build the whole operation so I don't believe I'm entitled to everything just because I'm the one farming. I do want to keep the land together and someday provide a way for my kids to take over as well. |
