North Central Illinois | Spent most of my growing up years and early adulthood in a church that was very focused on things that aren't an essential part of the Gospel. I never invited my "unchurched" friends there because I figured they'd be turned off by someone critical of the way they dressed or something else like that.
I'm finally in a church that is focused on ministering to everyone, and bringing the Gospel of Christ to sinners of all sorts. Now I have a place I can invite a person to and feel like I am inviting them to a place where they will find something of value.
Mom has in the past invited acquaintances without family in the area to Thanksgiving dinner at her house. Providing a place for folks to feel welcome at Thanksgiving is a very kind gesture on your part.
