Don’t use a shotgun anymore when the good slugs went to 3 bucks shot. Been using my muzzleloader for ten years now. Far more accurate than any of the shotguns I’ve ever owned. Havnt had a deer so much as twitch when getting centerpunched in the shoulder with 300grains of Barnes originals. Dozens and dozens of them. Winchester platinum tips are a superior slug though. Just picked up a new Savage custom MZ in .338 smokeless. This gun should be amazing. Looking forward to season getting here! Where do you do your hunting?
Fiocchi 2 3/4" 7/8oz. 1350 fps 4" group at 100 yds out of a 16' smooth barrel. We shoot a ton of them in 3 gun. About .75 per round
That's pretty accurate but isn't that 16 ft barrel a little awkward in the brush?
