wow what is normal yield for your area?

ballpark figures what is land worth there? how much is a bag of corn?

Should have added this is irrigated corn.

Last year (2017) overall his average was 175 bushel per acre but due to too much rain in short period of time,
2016 average was 135 bushel per acre due to fast spreading plague of worms that were not sprayed for in time.
2015 avg 200 bushel per acre as would be normal here.

normal yield would be 200-215 bushel per acre on this ground.

A couple years (5-6) there was one piece of land that sold at 30,000 usd per acre on auction, a couple stubborn guys both wanted it. The one that got it almost went under paying for it only so the other would not get it.

Land is sold "here" from 9,000 to 12,000 usd per acre, couple hours of driving in any direction you could buy for 3,000-6,000 but it won't yield the same in corn, that land has gone up in value because they are now switching over to cotton, peppers, watermelon, onions, etc.
