I’m in the same boat as you. XL fits perfect first go around and wash they done. Actually same size too. 6’ and 225. 2XL too wide and will still shrink up to bout same length as an XL. I’ve gone to XLT on most work wear. A lot of dress clothes 2XL after washed is just a little baggy and is bearable. Guess I need to lose about 25 pounds. But I like to eat
