E. Kansas | Some folks don't believe in it anymore, but I think it's important to have cemetery lots purchased long before they're needed. It's a nice item to mark off the list.
Save your family or close friends the job of making those decisions for you after you're unable or deceased (what cemetery, preferred lot location in cemetery, etc). Either register the lots at your county register of deeds or keep the cemetery lot deed/info where it can easily be found. If your plans change, the lots can always be sold.
