NEMO | It is truly an amazing piece of work. The inside gives a very feasible idea of how it might have looked, worked and functioned. No problems with any of that. Definitely worth the trip.
I just struggle with the outside overall look of almost every Ark example, even in story book pictures. God tells what wood to use, coat it with pitch inside and out, make rooms in it, how long, wide, tall, roof, finish the ark within 1 cubit of the top, door in the side, lower, middle and upper decks. Genesis 6:22 "Noah did everything just as God commanded him".
The Bible is the truth. I don't see where it says 'build it to look like a ship'. Just imagine the undertaking for Noah and his sons. I doubt they did anything that would make it harder to build (I don't mean they cut corners and shorted the task at hand). The most practical way to build something 300 cubits long, 50 cubits wide and 30 cubits high would be in a straight line. | |
