Golden eagles are badass. South of here there's a place called Dry Creek Basin that has a road-killed deer about every 1/2 mile in the winter. As you approach them, all the crows, magpies & smaller birds fly off. A Golden will just sit on the carcass & look you right in the eye as you pass by...
